Description: Merlot red wine made from the same grapes grown in the vineyards of Undurraga in the Central Valley. After harvesting, the berries undergo traditional vinification. Wine "Merlot" has an expressive aroma with notes of ripe cherries and plums, and enveloping, pleasant taste with well balanced acidity and soft tannins. It blends in well with various dishes of meat, game and pizza.
Producer's Description: The founder of the economy is Don Francisco Undurraga Undurraga - one of the pioneers of the Chilean wine industry. In 1882 he bought a property in Talagante and immediately engaged in planting vines that had brought from Germany and France. French oenologist, Mr. Pressac, personally supervised the planting of vines and their further development. Over the years the company has successfully develop and expand the market of its customers. In 1903, the first batch of wine was exported to the US, and to date production facilities "Undurraga" is known in more than 60 countries around the world.
The company is expanding its area of vineyards for the production of the best raw material. Favorable climatic conditions have a positive effect on the growth of grapes, berries providing juiciness, good structure and expressive aroma. Recently, the factory has been completely renovated and modernized bottling line cellars. Team oenologist professionals in a four-man creates wines with a unique character, unique and individual features.
