This product is currently sold out.
Full Brand Name: Baron Philippe de Rothschild
Country: France
Description: A beautiful rich Pinot Noir, dominated by black cherry, wild strawberries and violet scents.
Taste: A rich, well-developed nose, full of fruit, dominated by black cherry mingled with refined and delicate violet scents. Round and full on the palate, it combines a well-integrated structure of silky tannins with expressive fruit – wild strawberries accompanied by distinct but discreet mineral notes.
Pairing: Pinot Noir is the perfect wine with Roast Duck. The raspberry/cherry fruit flavours of these wines will complement the duck's flavour. If the dish is to be accompanied by a fruit sauce such as orange or cherry, the wine should be chosen to complement the sauce.
Producer: Baron Philippe de Rothschild makes varietal wines from the south of France, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier. The name Rothschild first emerged from the obscurity of the Frankfurt back streets 200 years ago. It quickly became a synonym for quality and excellence, wether in the field of financial services, wine, science, fine art of architecture. Across two centuries and many generations, the Rothschild emphases have remained unchanged - on innovation, industriousness and above all on the strength which lies in unity.
